John McCain, presidential candidate for the Republican Party, along with a long military backround, is also the only person in the current race who has been in this game before, he has the most experience of both of the competing parties. John McCain was born August 29, 1936, In the Panama Canal Zone. He has had two wives, Carol Shepp and Cindy Hensley, and seven children, one of which was adopted from Bangladesh at a year old. He is currently a U.S. senator from Arizona and has served in the armed forces for a time of his life. He went to U.S. Naval Academy and the National War College. He has been in a few near death situations in Vietnam. McCain was held prisoner by the North Vietnamese in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. In 2002 McCain was in the presidential race, but ironically he was on the democratic side working on relations and trade with Vietnam. He also Co-sponsored a financial bill in that same year. Two years later, McCain shut down John Kerry’s offer for Vice president in. In addition to a lot of his great leadership skills McCain also received as an award a Silver Star, a Bronze Star, a Legion of Merit, and a Purple Heart. All of his great achievements and leadership skills make a good combination of a great president.

McCain Bio
John McCain, presidential candidate for the Republican Party, along with a long military backround, is also the only person in the current race who has been in this game before, he has the most experience of both of the competing parties. Palin Bio
Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska since December 4, 2006, has recently been chosen for the role of Vice President for the Republican Party. Palin will be the first woman to have made it this far in the presidential race. She is married to Todd Palin, and five children. Palin has fought against the big oil companies in Alaska trying to get them to reform their system. She is working on energy development, education and workforce development, and public health and safety development. Palin has been working on a pipeline of natural gas. She has also used her veto pen to cut out about a half a billion dollars in wasteful spending, once becoming a member of office she eliminated herself on a lot of unnecessary things. She is working the efficient recovery of domestic oil and natural gas resources while protecting the health and safety of the environment. So in conclusion of all of her conservation, especially at a time like this, rumors of global warming, Palin would be a perfect candidate to influence America.
Obama Bio
Barrack Obama was born August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is married to Michelle Robinson, and has two children. He went to Columbia University and Harvard University. He has practiced civil rights and taught the constitutional law in the 1990’s. He has been a state senator for Illinois; he also ran for the U.S. House seat but did not receive it. In 2006 Obama won a Grammy Award for best spoken album for his reading of “Dreams from My Father.” He was not only the president of Harvard Law Review, but the first African American to become one. Obama loves helping out his country and fixing our problems, from Katrina, to the role of faith in politics, change is what he is all about.
Biden Bio
Joe Biden became a Democrat on the Foreign Relations Committee in 1997, he was also a chairman of the committee, and a chairman of the Judiciary Committee for 16 years. Biden is one of the most influential people of the situations, terrorism, drugs, crime and the female opinion. But Biden speaks out on Bush’s way of handling the Iraq war. Biden has been involved in the help of other countries, but believes in the woman’s thought. He has passed the landmark Violence against Women Act, which is the strongest legislation to be known that put people on charge for domestically violating others. All in all Biden has good moral values and puts them to use instead of just speaking about it, he could make a lot of great changes in our world.
GLOBAL WARMING
To some people, global warming is a true and very real issue, to others it's just a hoax, to me i do agree that the world is getting warmer, slowly, but i also think that it is not our faults. The world may not be helping it and slowing it down, but even if we try to preserve our earth and natural resources, i fell as though that the earth is still going to get "warmer", and simply reset itself. There are no positives to this, but one of many negatives is that we might not get any more snow as the world gets warmer, and i love the snow. McCain and Obama are supposedly going to the "Global Warming" matter. Obama has said that he is going to cut greenhouse gas emissions in America by 80% by 2050 through a cap and trade program and is going to charge companies for all emission permits. McCain's stand point is just a tiny bit different. McCain is going to cut greenhouse emission in America by a least 60% by 2050 through a cap and trade program, like Obama. McCain is also going to charge companies for all emission permits. So the actions that McCain and Obama are going to take for global warming, they are very similar but still effective. Both presidential candidates are pushing pollution-cutting efforts like these, recognizing climate change as an issue is a big change from the past years. Both candidates say they'll join international climate change efforts that the Bush administration has ignored, and will press China and India to cut greenhouse gases. I think there ideas are good one, I would like to see their actions.
Nuclear Weapons
Nuclear weapons are very dangerous and can destroy allot of land, they have been used before, but i think that they should not be used at all until the very last second when worst comes to the very worst. The positive thing about nuclear weapons is that if we use them no country will think that we are weak, but a bad thing is that if we screw up with them we might end up with a big burden on our hands. John McCain agrees with them though, he strongly supports the missile defense. He feels as though that they are a good use of protection especially with North Korea and their capability to target America missiles from countries like Iran that threaten American forces and American allies. He also like that you can use the missiles out at sea with no worries of other attacks because of the distance. Obama believes that even in Iran it is unacceptable and that the making of nuclear weapons should be stopped immediately.
Offshore Drilling
Another issue on the mind of some Americans is offshore drilling. I personally don't know what I agree with, I think that it should be a last resort though. A positive could be that we could conserve other natural resources, and a negative is that if we don't conserve we might not have anything else to turn onto that could produce enough energy. McCain believes that we should be using alternative energy, and the exploitation of existing oil reserves, natural gas, and coal. Obama, however, is fine with offshore drilling as long as it is cheap and its energy uses go along way.
Final Summerization
All in all i don't totally agree with either of the presidential candidates 100% of the time, I'm more like half and half towards them. I like to see their point of views though, its was nice to see what my potential president believes in. I think that both of their ideas have a background on why they believe that, but no matter where it came from it is still their beliefs and i will have to accept weather i like it or not because one of them is going to be my next president and since i don't agree with either one completely i will have to settle with one.
Political Cartoon 1
Obama can seem pretty nice and promises a lot of thing for America, but he has also been accused of having no experience through out this entire race. In this cartoon the first thing we see is a face on view of Barack Obama with written over his head 'Front View (Charisma). This is saying that he is a very influential person when you look at him and talk to him, like he seems to know what he's doing. The second part of this cartoon is Obama at a "side view" with written on top of him is written 'Side View (Experience)'. This show that when you really get to know him and get into detail with him, that Obama has nothing to offer, that he is not really charismatic after all. So in conclusion, Obama may seem good on the outside but he really has nothing to offer to his country.

Political Cartoon 2
Since our economy is falling and the American dollar is dropping, peple see banks and large companies going bankrupt. In this cartoon, there are three people standing around an ATM with a piece of paper in their hands. this represents that people around America are trying to take thier money out of banks, but simply not everyone can get there money back. The second representation is a close up on one of the papers, and it says, "Banks in America Current Balance: Hahahahahaha.00." This is saying that all of the banks in America are going bankrupt and nobody is going to get their money back. Our country needs to try and stop itself from having another depression, we have to raise our economy!

Political Cartoon 3
Since McCain choose Palin to his vice president she has taken over his spotlight, and McCain is trying to come back in but she is always put back into it. In the cartoon you see a reporter standing with a microphone saying, "The big question is, will the levee hold?" This repoter represents the pauperize shooting all of the candidates speeches and debates, and since Palin came in she has been in the eye of the camera due to her gender, home life, and her beauty. the second thing you see in the cartoon is a levee that says McCain Campaign, and a large amount of water that says Palin Revelations. This represents that Palin is bigger and stronger than McCain and she has more power over him and can push him down at any time. So all in all Palin is stronger than McCain and always in America's eye, she could push down McCain at any time she wants, so he hetter watch out!!

Political Cartoon 4
Today alot of teens are getting themselves in a mess by having sexual interaction and getting pregnant or a disease. The cartoon shows Bristol Palin in her pregnant state with her mother's quote beside her, "The sex education programs will not find my support." I understand that most teens have sexual intercourse before they get out of high school, which indicates that the sex education classes are needed to alert teens about all of the possible side effects, hopefully convincing teens not to have sexual interaction with anybody. The other point in this cartoon is McCain, standing beside Bristol Palin, scratching his head, looking a bit confused, Palin's campaign, I don't blame anybody for being confused, Palin doesn't agree with sex education, yet has a pregnat daughter. Its possible that if Bristol Palin was in a sex education class she might not have gotten into that situation if she would have known the facts. So for American teen's benefit, we should have sex education, this way less girls end up with a big mistake that could lead to even bigger ones.

Political Cartoon 5
Today our teenage society is giving in to peer pressure with drinking, smoking, doing drugs, and even having sex, much more than it used to be. Having Palin run as vice president and speaking about taking sex education and any thing to do with sexual content out of schools, yet her daughter is pregnant and still in school. This cartoon shows Palin giving a speech about her support towards having no sex education, and no availability to condoms, in the schools, she also is telling her audience that abstinence is the only way to go. I agree with what Palin is trying to say, but her actions so far, dealing with her daughter, go against every thing that she has been saying so far. The other point in the cartoon is that Palins pregnant, teenage, daughter is standing behind her stating that she is strictly a private matter. Palin’s daughter is implying, that despite her mothers campaign, she did get herself pregnant, but it’s a secret matter of only her and her families. Although Palin has been in the political view for a little while now, and states that she believes in abstinence, her daughter went against what her mom says she believes in and gets pregnant. So soon we might have a vice president that is so worried about stopping sexual content in schools, yet has a pregnant, teenage daughter, why would we pick a vice president that would be expected to help control our country when she can’t even control her own daughter. So willing to stop our teenage society from corrupting themselves Palin is willing to help stop that from happening, but she should start with her daughter first.

Political Cartoon 6
The womenin the political campaigns will attract all of the women in the United States, they will be intrested in getting to know their stand points and their history, and for the first time in history women are participated in the presidentail campaigns catching the womens eye but turning the males head away. The men not taking intrest in the women, but concentrating on the male side of the presidentail campaign. The woman in this cartoon is listening to what Michelle Obamas life was like as she describes it, and the wife realizes all of the common characteristics that of Michelle Obama and herself share. She goes into all detail and is relating to another woman. The husband is seeing things clear cut and getting down deep into the speach that Michelle Obama is giving. He is not relating to the woman, most likely because he is a man. The husbands reaction to the wife supports that he is not intrested in what the woman is saying but goingby what he already knows and reacts to that. By the womans reaction Obama had a smart thought by making his wife an important part in his campaign, getting Michelle Obama in his campaign has gotten some of the woman vote, where as if Obama did not put his wife in his campaign he would not have gotten any of the vote. The man in the cartoon implies that men all over the United States are not going to be intrested in the woman detail in part of the election. In conclusion the woman roll in this election is important for the women vote, but doesnt effect the man.

Interview Reflection
I think that Mrs. Janice Fego has good morals telling by the way she spoke to me and the things that she said, like that she would respect the man that she didnt want to become president. I think that the interview went very well Mrs. Fego answered all of the question with a great response and she answered them the way i would have wanted her to answer them. She was a very respectible woman who is proud of her country so far.
This collage represents McCain and repuplicanacity. McCain, and a black and white picture of sloiders are the backround. I choose this background because it was very insperational and it was apart of his past, being a solider. I show McCain's electorial sign and him and his running mate Sarah Palin on a pin. Ishow that he is a republican and one part of his platform, no abortion. I put that picture near his head to show that it was an idea.
This collage describe that Obama is a Democrat and his idea, change. I have Obama as the background and little icons that could represent him all around his portrait. I put an icon of a jar of change representing Obama's platform of change, i also placed it by his head to show of him dreaming of it. I also show in this collage Obama's running mate, Biden and Obama's election sign. But i think that the background speaks the loudest, because of its vibrant colors and the way Obama is looking up in a very inspirational way, like he is dreaming.

The Essential Question
1) Its amazing how much influence one person can have over so many people, trusting a man that you don't even know and giving the authority over your country. Well i believe that when someone is given that much authority that there secrets should be known so that we know who we are actually giving this amazing power to, a low dirty rat, or a worthy trusting man. The person that we elect should be a roll model to us and what is expected of him and not corrupt our country more than it already is. But then again a person with that much power could influence a whole country to believe what he or she is doing is alright even if they don't know what they are doing.
2) As the way the economy is going, down, we need to watch what we do with our money, all Americans need to be careful with putting their money into bank also. By the banks going bankrupt puts allot of stress upon us, and it also has a big impact. If people don't have any place to keep their money in a safe place, where are they going to put it.
3) As president you should be in charge of your country and not have it over ruled by someone else. When you are president you shouldn't have your vice president taking over your role, like John McCain did when he was running for president. Although he was not president yet he let Palin take over the spotlight. If he were to become president we mind as well have Palin as our president. This just shows that he if he can't be in the head of his own life then how is he supposed to be in the head of his country? Then who is America supposed to depend on for support.
4) People are easily convinced nowadays especially teenagers. So when teens see a presidential candidates, a person who is a leader and could potentially make changes in the world, and their daughter is pregnant, what are gullible teens supposed to think, that its alright to get pregnant since the potential vice presidents daughter is? What would we do with our young people.
5) When people see a person of high influence contradicting themselves it makes them question that persons beliefs, do they believe one thing or another? For Palin her daughter is pregnant yet she wants to take out sex ed. classes, maybe if her daughter was in such a class she would more aware of what she was doing. Also if the society has someone in charge of them that cant even take care of their own daughter how are they supposed to take care of our country, and how will that effect us?
6) Women can be a big influence allot of the times since they are thought of as the weaker sex, so when people, especially women, see other women becoming of a high place in our society we tend to look up to them for being brave and going up against the normal man. So as we see women come of importance in the government we will see a new revolution, of more and more women getting involved with things that men would normally do. As women become more important, we will also see the laws, regulations and time in general change as well.

North Carolina's Polls
I choose North Carolina as my state to research because i live here and i would like to what my state decides on who they would like for president. North Carolina is usually a republican state so i would like to see if it stays that way or changes to democratic. North Carolina gets 15 electoral votes so its not as much as other states but its a lot more than some also. So i cant wait until i find out the results of my state!
Findings
I found that for the November 4Th poll for Obama will most likely be about 48.048% and for McCain it should be 48.3155%. My results were approximately 96% correct, so these polls should be pretty accurate. According to these to final results i think that McCain will win our state since he has the higher percentage. I think that the linear regression method is a great way to figure out the results of anything and i am confident on my findings.
